When Easter comes around, it's time for surprises. And this time was a good one!First thing, I had to go pick up Papa and Maman at the airport (JFK). But When I went online to check out the status of the flight, it was saying "delayed". So I was wondering "sh*t, another strike? some mechanic problem,..." Well actually, after 2 hours of flying, a passenger had the good idea of passing out! So because they were closer to Paris, the plane turned around and went back to Paris! So I finally pick up my parents at 12:30am instead of 7:45pm!
Anyway, everything went fine this time, I pick them up with Uncle Pat who came with me (thanks Uncle Pat) and then Papa tried to distract me until CLAIRE popped out from behind him!!!!!
I had no idea she was coming and so this is my big surprise of the weekend. I guess I talked to her so much about the magic fountain (our ice cream place right by our street) that she needed to come back and get some! But after that I wondered if Lionel and/or Thomas will show up too!
Saturday, I watched a rugby game on TV with Papa,which we haven't done for a while since I'm not home anymore. So we watched Toulouse - Cardiff and then went back to the airport but this time to pick up Rachel.
Then at night we celebrated Maman's birthday with a whole Jacques Pepin menu and gave her her little gift. Now she can make real pancakes in her nice pancake pan.
Sunday: Easter with family, good food, good wine (for those who drink) and good company ; one game of scrabble with Maman (that I won again) while Rachel was preparing her lesson for Monday, and here was the end of the weekend. Weekends are too short!
