Here we are again, four years after our last Christmas in Chilly. A little nervous at first about how we will handle this first trip as a family of FOUR, everything went very smoothly and our two little guys were just perfect little angels during the whole flight out and in-bound. We arrived then in France very excited to start this vacation. And in addition to the good experience with two kids on board, we flew for the first time to Orly's airport, which was 15 minutes away instead of driving for another hour and a half like we used to! What a luxury it felt like!
We were ready to enjoy now three full weeks with the family, friends that we hadn't seen for way too long and introduce Fiona to those who had not met her yet. On our side, we finally the latest addition in the family, the handsome little Milo, born last November. (Congratulations again Claire and Ivan!).
This year, it was actually Claire and Ivan who hosted Christmas. Everyone responded present for a nice evening, celebrating love and the happiness we are blessed with: Papylain, Mamie-Jo, Nadine, Bobo, Tonton Daniel, Lionel, Aurélie, Thomas, Ivan, Claire, Stéphane (Théo's best bud for the night), Alex, and of course...us!
How to not fall for experiencing once again a Parisian life! Like every time we are there we took of course advantage for being so close to the capital and erring for a couple walk in Paris. This time, we especially enjoyed three of them.
The first one was the occasion to go down memory lane and walk in Rachel's old neighborhood before heading to Boulevard Haussmann and look at the Christmas windows. The only downside was how crowded the area was and how stupid and uncivilized people can be. Still a great memory, especially seeing Théo so happy.
The second excursion was our trip to the museum of amusement parks, which opens its door to the public every year during the Holiday season and where we spent a beautiful afternoon.
The last stroll happened to be unexpected as we went in the city to go ice-skating at the "Palais des Glaces". But the line to get in was so long that we turned this outing into one and last walk in this beautiful town. Champs- Elysée, Jardin des Tuileries, Pyramide du Louvre, and for as one last little gift to Théo, we finished that day with a ride on the Ferris Wheel at Place de la Concorde.
See you next time Paris...
