Back on the Blog

I've not been very rigorous about writing on the blog lately. Things have been busy between work and taking care of my 35 weeks pregnant wife. Yeap, 35!
Meanwhile, even though we don't have a super extravagant life that would wow everyone, here is what happened since the last post. First, we finally were able to go to the nursery and get our plants to set up our porches. Peppers, tomatoes and herbs for the edible garden but I need to return there to get some strawberries as well. Petunias and vines for the flower boxes - in addition to the hanging baskets that we already got a couple weeks before. Spring feels even better being surrounded by our plants, and we can't wait to see them grow.Spring... Spring... Sp....Sprain! Last Wednesday Rachel fell in our driveway as we were getting ready to go to work. The baby is fine, but Rachel badly sprained her ankle. Of course it was hard to walk the first few days after but it seems that it's getting better and hopefully she will be able to drive to work on Monday for her last week before she goes on her maternity leave.
Later in the week, Pat and Bonne Maman came over for dinner. It was nice to have them and show what changed in our place since their last visit (the nursery and this year's garden). And so we enjoyed having our first dinner outside on the balcony...first of many more to come this summer.Today, we went for brunch with Sara and Ron to my new favorite restaurant in town "Food". We were happy to go with them as they like to blog about their restaurant experiences and we thought they would enjoy it.I think they really liked their dishes even though I believe I had the winner dish with my awesome French toast!
Finally after brunch with Ron and Sara we all headed to Barbara and Massimo's house to visit them and see Emma (for the first time for Ron and Sara). Emma is just so adorable and I was happy to try my new hypnotizing techniques to make her sleep! Taking care of her for a little bit really makes me anxious to meet OUR little one. Only a few more weeks...

This is just soooo lovely!!! Can't wait to see you again, at my house on Sunday to help Pat? Make you a fab BBQ! Loved the time I spent with your family in Orange and Carry. Enjoyed Daniel, as did Gale. Nice man.....your dad is a prince! Nice brother for Daniel as was Momo.

Ouch! Hope Rachel is feeling better! Looks like good times otherwise. We will try to come over with the crib soon. Hoping to get Bruno's bed in the next two weeks!

Although I talk to both of you often and know what is happening I am glad to read your updated blog and see the nice photos. Your flowers are beautiful! Fabien, you already look like an experienced dad!

Michelle - Pain is almost gone...just coming back in the evening after a full day of work but tomorrow is her last day. And Doctor Fab is watching her very closely! Yeah that would be cool for the crib but I'm also looking forward to show you guys the baby's room...well we still have to figure out a poster or two put on the wall, but beside that it's all done!

Mom - I know how much you like to read about your kids (and grand kid) and always see more pictures. And as for the flowers I can't wait for the middle of summer to see how huge they got and maybe we can have some nice lunch with tomato salad from the garden with Maman on the porch...looks like I succeed in saving 3 planters of the seeds from Piolenc and they keep growing!

You forgot about those awesome burgers we had on the BBQ the night before! That Bobby Flay sauce, with amazing corn on the cob and broccoli slaw on the side..... Now, that was an amazing meal.
