Happy Easter

While everyone hunts for chocolate on Easter day in France, we are busy with our egg hunt at Bev and Dave's. Here are some of the ones we decorated before going for our hunt. Once ready, like every year we all headed to Bonne Maman's for the day and shared a good meal with the rest of the family. I volunteered to make the dessert and so now I can show off with the picture of my "bavarois" which was almost gone in seconds just after it was served...too bad I thought I could maybe bring some back home! Arlette already placed an order for two of them for Bastille Day only this time I'll try one with a different flavor! Looking forward to this one too...
Happy Easter!

Mmmm - too bad we have to wait until July to have this dessert again. It was simply amazing!! I'm curious to try a different flavor too although I do love the strawberry/raspberry combo. :)

Well you might be lucky enough that I will probably try the pear one before and see if it will worth making it or not :)

A pear one sounds delicious. I'll be happy to sample it with Rachel. I was at Bonne Maman's last night and had a slice of the leftover dessert. Lucky me!!

I would like to say that I would be more than happy to taste the pear, strawberry/raspberry or any other kind you make, too. I think three taste testers (or more!) will give you a good idea if your dessert is really Bastille Day-worthy. :) Maybe Elliot will help Darren make the canneles this year.
Also, your Easter eggs are beautiful, but that didn't surprise Darren and me.

Bev - I thought Bonne Maman would keep it all for herself :)I'm glad you had some too and enjoyed your last day of your spring break.
Kel - In my mind I already thought about having you as my testers. It's been a long time since last time we saw each other so that would be a great "reunion" dessert :)
I can't believe someone else will do my caneles for Batsille Day...well I'm sure they will all think I made them anyway, ha ha!
Michelle - I'm sure Bruno would have loved the cake even better :) I'm sure if you would have done some they would have been great. Actually you should do some next year...I can already see the superman egg with its cape from cloud9 :)

Can't wait for bastille Day to have that amazing cake again- and pear is my favorite! Who will be making the caneles?

The little elf will make the canelés :)

We are going to teach Elliot Claire to be a master caneles maker. By the time she turns two, she won't even need to look at the secret recipe from Fab!

Dar and Kel - I want a percentage of anything Elliot will make with these caneles!!! ;)
