It's 3am. We're sleeping well until some little noise wakes me up and get my attention. Weird, the blinds are making some noise and I can hear some other bizarre things but all our windows are closed! Rachel wakes up too. "Shhhhhh...listen...." I hear these noises again and so does Rachel. Alright Let's turn on the light to see wha......"What the f*....a bat!!!!" I have no idea how she got into our place but here it is, flying above our head in circles before heading to the kitchen.
Nope, I didn't stay under the sheets waiting for Rachel to save me. I get up and I'm on my way for a bat hunt. No need for garlic or crucifix, I'm going to the kitchen too. I open the kitchen door and try to have the bat to go outside but of course all it can do is just keeping flying in circles without even noticing the door is open. She even stops on the corner of the window for a little rest and to tease me. I even start to think it's a little cute. Looks like she's looking at me! Here we go she's starting again her circles while I'm keeping shaking a dish towel to prevent it to go back to the hallway/bedroom. But finally, after a tough fight and attracted by the porch light, Dracula ends up by flying away from the apartment. Rachel can come out from the bathroom where she locked herself. And after checking there was no more bat in the house (just to make sure), we were able to finish our night, wake up late to go to work, and get ready for an other day.
